Examinations 2016
Good Luck!
Dear Parents
Examination
requirements
Examinations for the Grade 4
– 7 learners will begin on Monday 10 June 2014. The Grade 7 learners will write
the Benchmark papers during the exam weeks.
Attached please find the
necessary study lists and examination timetable relevant for your child’s
grade. Please note that the Grade 4 & 5 exams are only one and a half hours
long. There will be a half an hour study session before the exam begins. All
learners must bring their books to study.
All text books must be
handed in on the day the exam is written. If the text book is not returned,
your account will be debited with the amount owed for the book.
The teacher’s will use the
week prior to the exams as a revision week to help ensure that your child is on
track with the required work. However, it is very important that your child
spends quality time studying the various subjects in order for them to be able
to write a successful examination. No homework will be given in the week prior
to the exams.
Early
closing during exams
School will close at 13:00
from the 10 June up to and including Wednesday 03 December. The learners will
write two (2) sessions per day.
If
your child is not going home at 13:00, they need to bring their books to study
for the exam the next day. There will be a teacher on duty until 14:30 should
your child not go home at 13:00.
In order to help your child
be prepared for their examinations, please ensure that he/she has the following
at school every day:
The correct and necessary stationery in a see through pencil bag /
packet. No unnecessary items. A bottle of water – plain not flavored in a bottle with a push /
pull cap (sports bottle).
Tissues A healthy, substantial lunch. The books or study notes for
the examination to be written during the second session or the next day.
Should you have any further
